Sandi’s Miracle Money Experience

In March when Sandi was invited to be in the Miracle Money program, she was extremely thankful and planned to use the money to pay bills and for essentials for her and her family as well as helping out a friend she met at a shelter.

She was successfully able to help her husband make a down payment on a car. She is very proud of her husband for being a good caretaker to her boys; a car would help him get to work and take care of the family.

Sandi also used some of the Miracle Money to buy her sons a TV stand as a housewarming gift for his new home in Tennessee after he had just returned from serving time in Korea.

Sandi was able to buy herself a service dog. Sandi struggles with PTSD and anxiety, and having a pet to keep her company and listen to her has been very soothing. She will spend some of her Miracle Money on training and certifying her new pet.

Sandi used some of the funds to support her parents in paying their bills and rent. Her mother is handicapped and her disability checks tend to be unreliable, so Sandi was happy to help her out financially.

Sandi also helped out a friend of hers from a shelter she lived in previously and cut her one-year-old son’s hair. Sandi related to her friend’s struggles a lot, having been a single mom of boys herself, and wanted to help out. Sandi shared that caring for kids is very important to her because she had it really rough as a kid, coming to America at five years old on a sponsorship.

According to her Miracle Friend, Sandi is doing well and looking terrific! Sandi is really thankful to be part of the program and says that without it, she would be struggling a lot more.

Why Miracle Money?

Build relationships.

Our Miracle Friends program meets people where they are at, treats people not as problems to be solved but as people to be loved. We find that good communication and accountability follow.

Give funds.

We have raised over $45,000 through peer-to-peer fundraising to give 15 recipients $500/month for six months. Funds are used for housing, car repairs and transportation, bills, clothing, and more.

Repeat.

Seeing how Miracle Money changes lives, donors are encouraged to give and see the joy of knowing that every dollar donated goes to an unhoused neighbor in need. They follow updates along the way.

Help make a difference.

Donate to Miracle Money and help change a life like Sandi’s.
