Who is Marie?

When health issues kept Marie from holding a steady job, her housing became unstable as well. Staying in a shelter-in-place hotel in the Bay Area, she connected (through Catholic Charities) with Miracle Friends, which, from the very first phone call, has brought helpful relationships with friendly people.

Marie is excited about starting a new job at a warehouse. Already, her Miracle Money has helped her pay bills and establish a savings account for emergencies. It has also helped her pay for gas. With reliable transportation, she looks forward to her new job, and her college classes in English and stress management. Just as important, the funds have helped her worry less about her problems. Marie enjoys caring for her two cats, siblings Precious and Smokey.
