Background: On 3/31/15, we met Lorenzo Castañeda at InnVision Shelter Network, one of our partner organizations, in Redwood City, CA. Lorenzo grew up without knowing who he was and without knowing much of his family. He is currently homeless and has been on and off for six years. However, he got out of prison on September 24th, 2014, and has been sober for 5 months. He is working 2 jobs as a dishwasher and line cook. He believes that through his personal growth and soberness, he has found clarity in his life. The only thing missing, he says, is his family. He believes that he is in a good place for the first time in a long time and is eager to reconnect with them.
